What is The Open House about?

Ben and Emily are touring their first home together. The realtor keeps guiding Ben through one room after another on his own, while Emily is never far away, usually just on the other side of a door.

By signing day the sale is not the only thing that has been decided. The suspense lies in how close his wife keeps coming to noticing what is happening a room away.

Candy tags it Wife, so this is a married-couple temptation story rather than a stepfamily one. The setting is deliberately ordinary, a house tour with open doors and shared hallways, which makes the risk feel close to home. It suits viewers who like a sly build-up and near-miss moments.
