What is Room 742 about?

The story starts with a hotel keycard that works on a door it should not. Room 742 already has a guest, and instead of leaving, the narrator stays. Then the stranger's wife knocks. She is not shocked or angry, because she picked the narrator on purpose, and what she wants is to watch rather than to send anyone away.

With the Wife and Taboo tags, this is a voyeur-flavored story about a married couple with unusual rules and an outsider who gets pulled in. It plays on the anonymity of a hotel, the surprise of being invited and the line between curiosity and temptation. It suits viewers who like first-person, mystery-box setups.
