What is Don't Tell Your Mother! about?

You are the new husband in the house. One night at 2am you catch your adult stepdaughter sneaking in through a window, and you agree to keep it quiet. She counts it as a debt, and the repayment is the kind of thing her mother must never find out about.

Everything runs on that shared secret and the line that gives the series its name. The tension is how long the household can stay in the dark while the boundary between a favor and something more disappears.

Candy tags it Taboo, which is the fantasy: a forbidden bond inside a new blended family, built around secrets and risk. It suits viewers who like stepfamily stories where every glance has a cover story. Ava Parkson is the name listed in Candy's Chat with the Cast row.
